One of the easiest recipes you will ever make! I have seen these trendy little potatoes all over blogs and social media, so it was only naturally that I gave them a try myself. Smashed Potatoes are all the rage… they’re crispy, they’re fluffy, they’re so tasty and best of all they are SO simple to make. I think my favorite part about this recipe is that I got to use the adorable teeny tiny potatoes that I always see at Whole Foods whenever I go grocery shopping. These little guys made the perfect side for so many different meals and they even made a yummy snack, not going to lie… I am a sucker for cold potatoes and some ketchup or mayo. Is that weird?
Anyway, smashed potatoes are going to become your new best friends. There is also something so satisfying about smashing these little guys with the back of a glass that feels so good. I loved keeping the seasonings super simple; just salt, pepper and some fresh sprigs of thyme. There is so much you can do too! You can add some raw cloves of garlic to your tray, or sprinkle on some garlic powder. You can get crazy with it and add on some smoked paprika, turmeric or ginger powder for a little flair! However you do it, they’re going to turn out amazing I promise.
